Sometimes things don’t always go to plan. If things go wrong and you need to investigate don’t worry, we can help.

It’s not the easiest thing to have to do, but sometimes you have to hold an internal investigation and difficult conversations to get to the bottom of something that’s happened. Investigations should be structured, impartial, and confidential and you should seek advice before you start to make sure you’re on the right track and not exposing your business to unnecessary employment law risk. 

Investigations can lead to a formal disciplinary hearing, and at times can go beyond this to appeal stage, early conciliation or employment tribunal. These stages bring with them a whole load of legal requirements and expectations for employers and can be a minefield to navigate. Getting it wrong can be costly.
