Appeal

If you’ve received an appeal letter from an employee over a disciplinary grievance, flexible working request, or other outcome, you’ll need to appoint an independent and impartial Appeal Hearing Officer.

Their role is to Chair the Appeal hearing, which includes reviewing the appeal reasons, reviewing the process and information that led to the outcome, and determining the final appeal outcome. This process brings with it a whole load of legal requirements and can be a minefield to navigate. Getting it wrong can be costly.
